opens up a whole new world of possibilities to your child,

Giving your children the gift of speaking and understanding Greek is an important decision that you need to commit to as parents and as a family. Set aside the time in your weekly schedule to sharing your passion about being Greek with your kids.
-
Start early. Babies recognize speech patterns from the moment they are born (possible even in the womb), so the more you expose your baby and toddler to spoken Greek, the easier it will be for your child to pick up its unique sounds. Let your child start the Greek School early at the age of 3.
-
If you are not confident with your own Greek, this doesn’t mean your child has to miss out. There are so many opportunities for your child to hear Greek spoken, including on TV, Greek videos online, other members of the local Greek community, etc.

Not only knowing and learning multiple languages is very important for the reasons we have previously reviewed, but also academic wise and future wise, it is a wise choice! We got the Seal of Biliteracy from the State of California, which means that the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Greek (Ellinomatheia) taken by any student will be recognized by the state.
